Taking God's Healing Love to the Nations

May 15, 2008
Dear ones,

We have had so many wonderful things happening Ð thanks be to God! - that we kept wanting to
write you when the next one was completed. However, that means that much time has passed and
we have quite a report! We are breaking it into sections about each. We hope you will be
encouraged that your prayers are being answered and your support is reaping much fruit.
Easter Lesson with Resurrection Eggs
Meg joined up with fellow missionary, Betty Colletta, to teach the Sunday School (approximately 40
children) the Easter story, using Resurrection Eggs! Each child received a plastic egg that contained
12 symbols of the story: thorn, linen, rock, sword, etc. We taught the lesson on Palm Sunday and
the children presented it to the congregation on Easter Sunday. It was reported that the little boy
pictured above, Edwin, went right home and re-told the story to his father using his Easter Egg, and
this was an answer to prayer for his mother.
Healing Encounter and Leadership Training: Santa Cruz
From April 5-12th, Bob led a healing encounter for the two Anglican churches in Santa Cruz. This was
in response to the heart-cry of one of the pastors, Belisario, who requested we come to help touch
the many wounds, especially among families and marriages, with the healing love of Christ. The week
of teachings, talking with leaders and ministering through small groups and teams of prayer ministers
began with Meg speaking to a group of 50 women. This was billed as an evangelistic outreach, so
Meg gave her personal testimony of accepting Christ as Savior and the ways God has continued to
rescue and heal areas of her life. It was moving to watch as 40 of the women lined up to receive
prayer ministry. It was evident that many hearts were touched, praise to God!

What also struck me was the openness of the participants to the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Cristo, Luz del Mundo, is a very charismatic parish which flows freely in the gifts of the Spirit. They
are a congregation who reaches out to the lost, the hurting, and the broken. At least two persons
received significant healing, two men prayed to accept Christ as Savior, and many received inner,
emotional healing. As a result of the training a group of leaders set the goal to start visiting families
in their homes in order to minister to the needs of married couples, families and individuals. This is
the purpose of every seminar we conduct, to raise up leaders who will get involved in the ministry of
healing prayer.
MenÕs Retreat: Cochabamba
It was a privilege to lead a retreat for a small group of men leaders of La Trinidad, our home parish,
April 25-26. These men gave up time to spend time sharing concerns about the life of the church,
looking at the Word of God, and praying together. We all sensed God was up to something during
the retreat. I did my usual theme song: a passionate plea to seek revival, the Presence of God, and
the anointing power of the Holy Spirit. What other hope is there for the church, for the world? There
is real power when you get a group of men together to get real with one another, acknowledge oneÕs
weaknesses, and pray as a group.
Healing Outpouring: Lakeland, Florida
The day before the menÕs retreat began, I received an email from one of our intercessors who related
to me what appears to be a major move of God impacting the globe. What started as a four-day
ÒHealing OutpouringÓ in a church in Lakeland, Florida, April 2nd, is still going on. Every night some
5000-7000 show up, many from over 20 countries, to witness incredible miracles. As it turns out, a
missionary friend decided to join me in flying to this event. (By the grace of God, I was able to use my
Advantage miles at the last minute!) All I can say is that what we witnessed and experienced was the
manifest glory of God. There were dramatic miracles of healing each of the four nights we attended
the meeting. From deaf ears being healed to persons walking, pain free, after years of suffering
various crippling diseases or from accidents. There was no hype; the focus was on Jesus and his
compassion to heal, restore and set people free. As we say in Spanish: ÒÁincreible!Ó

Pentecost Sunday: La Trinidad

The singular reason for our Òjumping on a planeÓ and participating in the healing event was to ÒcatchÓ
as much of the fire of GodÕs Presence and anointing in order to come back to Bolivia to ignite revival
fires here. I invited the same group of men from the retreat to meet at our home to pray for
Pentecost Sunday. We have a third story room used as my office and as an Òupper roomÓ for prayer.
We met Saturday evening, including Fr. Walter, our pastor. It was an awesome time of sharing,
worship and prayer. Fr. Walter had told me he planned to pray for the entire congregation to be
filled with the Holy Spirit! Wow! When he preached Sunday morning, he told the people, ÒWe are
not going to celebrate Pentecost, we are going to experience it.Ó Wow, again! And we did. After
the sermon Fr. Walter invited my friend and me to tell about Lakeland, giving testimonies to GodÕs
outpouring. Then we invited people to come to the front if they wanted to be filled and make Jesus
their ÒKingÓ and be witnesses to God. I was told all except maybe one person (80) came forward for
the anointing. The response was wonderful. GodÕs Spirit was very evident as some Òrested in the
SpiritÓ, some cried, some felt heat and ÒtinglingÓ in their bodies, some said the pain they felt was
gone. So, we expect some more testimonies in the next couple of weeks. One young woman told
Meg and me the next day, ÒThis is a new beginning for La Trinidad.Ó

Welcome to the Casa de Sanidad y Restauraci—n!

We are starting a new ministry, June 2nd of inner healing and restoration. We have a house to use for
the next seven months. In June weÕll offer some training for prayer ministers. This is a sort of Òtest
runÓ. By December weÕll decide what God is saying about how to proceed. Your prayers are
appreciated!

We are so grateful for your prayer support. There are culture shocks living here. Just driving around
town is an act of faith and super-vigilance. WhatÕs most fun is not knowing whether to stop at a red
light or just keep going through the intersection so that weÕre not rear-ended. Many drivers pay little
attention to the traffic laws. Now I know why the Lord invented horns for cars!

Our blessings and love!
