Taking God's Healing Love to the Nations

"Let the Fire of Revival Burn!"

May 31, 2007

Dear Friends,

On March 18th of this year I celebrated my 35th anniversary to the ordained priesthood. Praise God!

On July 13th I will turn the ripe, young age of 65. Praise God!

At this point in time, retirement is not an option. The reason is that we are living in a most extraordinary period of church history. There is evidence everywhere, and every day, that the Lord God Almighty is pouring out His Spirit in unprecedented power, especially in the manifestation of miracles of healing. Hallelujah!

At the same time, we are living in a period of an all out battle with the powers of darkness which are hell-bent on destroying the church, you and me. However, we know what the Lord Jesus had to say about this, "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!" While being interrogated by the chief priests and scribes, just before being led to Pilate, Jesus turned to his accusers and said, "But from now on the Son of man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God." (Luke 22:69). The Cross before Him, Jesus announced his victory!

Brothers and sisters, I believe that we ought to keep our gaze focused toward heaven in the knowledge that Christ is now reigning in glory over all the earth. And I believe Jesus is in the process of returning to the world to establish his reign on earth. As the battle intensifies, stay focused. At the recent men's retreat, with 210 in attendance including 30 clergy, the Archbishop of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi, challenged us to "stand firm" as difficult days lie ahead. My exhortation for all of us is to pray fiercely and boldly that the fires of revival will be ignited throughout the church universal, in all denominations, all nations, every tribe and tongue. Let us never cease to proclaim the victory which is our everlasting inheritance in Christ Jesus through the awesome power of the Holy Spirit!

Praise Reports:

1) This year's Christian Healing Center's Banquet gave honor to God for the ongoing ministries of healing and restoration. An amazing testimony was given by Linda White, now a prayer minister, who by the grace of God and continuing prayer is being healed from depression and several severe physical ailments. Where the medical and psychiatric protocols were unable to alleviate the symptoms of disease, the power of God's healing love is bringing complete wholeness! Meg and I gave our "testimonies" of how God has called us to serve as full-time missionaries in Bolivia. We praise Him for the very generous contributions toward our support raising.

2) New Wineskins Conference for Global Missions. Meg and I were welcomed by the SAMS community as their newest "missionary candidates". About 1000 Anglicans from around the globe were present. There were inspiring testimonies of what God is doing in Nigeria (18 million Anglicans and growing fast), Asia (a priest from Laos told of painful persecution and about his praying for a man - almost totally blind - receiving brand new eyesight!), and South America. I served as one of 24 prayer ministers with Mike Flynn of FreshWind Ministries. We ministered to many persons throughout the conference. I had the privilege of praying with several missionaries burdened by grief, burnout, and facing spiritual warfare. With another team member we ministered to two seminary students, both of whom received significant inner (emotional) healing, set free from past hurts.

3) I was invited to teach on "Blocks to Healing" to an Order of St. Luke class. This was very encouraging to see a group of persons serious about learning how to pray for the sick and the wounded. At the end, the group laid hands on me to pray for God's fire in preparation for an upcoming seminar in Bolivia. Then we all prayed, in faith, for a woman. The Spirit of God was definitely moving and present.

4) I have been invited to serve part-time in pastoral ministry for St. James Anglican Church in Newport Beach. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve and offers us some timely provision as we prepare for our new life in Bolivia.

Prayer Requests:

1) Please pray for our upcoming seminar in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, June 19-23rd, held at Cristo, Luz del Mundo Anglican Church. The theme is, "Ministering healing prayer in the power of the Spirit". Each night there will be worship, a teaching and a ministry time. On Saturday the 23rd we will conduct an all-day workshop and in the evening there will be a large Healing Service held in an auditorium. There may be many hundreds of people in attendance. So please pray. Pray for our team for safety and protection, and for the fire-power from on high. We'll need it!

2) Pray for our "support raising" for Bolivia. We thank the Lord in advance for His wonderful provision.

3) St. James Anglican Church. For healing and renewal.

To Christ Jesus be the Glory!
